Kendal Calling 2026

Kendal Calling is the Lake District's own music festival — held in the Lowther Deer Park near Penrith, surrounded by fells and ancient woodland. The combination of proper headliners and a stunning Cumbrian setting makes it one of the most distinctive festivals in the North. The lineup is broad — indie, dance, rock, and pop across multiple stages, with a strong comedy and arts programme alongside. Past headliners include Noel Gallagher, Rudimental, Stereophonics, and Supergrass. The fancy dress theme each year is taken seriously — the whole campsite transforms. The Woodlands Stage among the trees is a highlight. Kendal Calling has a devoted local following and a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. The kids' area is good, making it viable for families. The deer park setting is genuinely beautiful. It's grown significantly but retains its community feel. Sells out regularly — book early.
