About
York Food Festival is one of the longest-running food festivals in the UK — ten days of events celebrating Yorkshire's food and drink scene. The main festival weekend transforms Parliament Street and surrounding areas into a vast food market, with over 100 stalls selling everything from local cheeses to artisan chocolate. Beyond the market, the programme includes chef demonstrations, supper clubs, brewery tours, foraging walks, and family events. York's chocolate heritage features prominently. The quality reflects Yorkshire's growing reputation as one of the UK's most exciting food regions. The festival is well-integrated into the city — restaurants offer special menus, and events take place in venues across York. The main market is free to enter.
