About
The BBC Proms is the world's greatest classical music festival — eight weeks of orchestral concerts at the Royal Albert Hall each summer, featuring the world's finest orchestras, conductors, and soloists. The genius of the Proms is accessibility: standing tickets (Promenading) in the arena and gallery are available on the day for just £8, making world-class classical music genuinely affordable. The programming spans the entire classical repertoire plus jazz, world music, film scores, and new commissions. The atmosphere in the Albert Hall during a Prom is unique — the Prommers standing in the arena create an energy that seated audiences rarely match. The Last Night of the Proms is a national institution. Arena and gallery tickets are available on the day (queue early for popular concerts). Seated tickets bookable in advance. If you've never been to a Prom, start with something big — a Mahler symphony or a Beethoven concerto in this space is unforgettable.
