Electric Brixton
About
Electric Brixton is a converted 1920s cinema that's become one of south London's best live music and club venues. The main room holds around 1,500 people and has an excellent sound system, a proper raised stage, and a standing-room layout that creates real energy. The balcony is the sweet spot — great sightlines and slightly less sweaty. The programming is broad and consistently good: you'll find everything from grime MCs to Afrobeats parties, indie bands to club nights running until 6am. It's been a launchpad for artists who went on to fill arenas, and the 'I saw them at Electric Brixton' stories are endless. The venue sits right on Brixton Road, surrounded by some of south London's best restaurants, bars, and the legendary Brixton Village and Pop Brixton food markets. The venue is well-managed with decent bars and proper security. It gets hot — dress accordingly. Brixton tube station is literally across the road. Combined with dinner at Brixton Village or drinks at Pop Brixton, this makes for a perfect south London night out.
