About
SWG3 is Glasgow's most exciting multi-arts venue — a former galvanising works in Yorkhill that's been converted into a complex of warehouse spaces, studios, gardens, and event venues. It hosts everything from club nights and live music to art exhibitions, food festivals, and outdoor cinema. The programming is adventurous and the spaces are raw and industrial in the best way. The outdoor Galvanizers Yard is brilliant in summer — street food, DJs, and art installations in a walled industrial courtyard. The warehouse spaces host some of Glasgow's best club nights. The venue is also heated by a pioneering geothermal system — the first nightclub in the world to be heated by its own dancefloor (the body heat from dancing is captured and stored underground). It's in Yorkhill, between the West End and Finnieston, an easy walk from either. Check the listings — there's always something happening, from afternoon markets to all-night raves. SWG3 represents the best of Glasgow's ability to take industrial spaces and fill them with creativity and energy.
