Komedia Bath
About
Komedia Bath is the city's best venue for comedy, cabaret, and live entertainment — a converted church hall on Westgate Street that hosts a year-round programme of stand-up, musical comedy, tribute acts, family shows, and club nights. The parent venue in Brighton has been a comedy institution for decades, and the Bath outpost brings the same energy and quality. The comedy programming is consistently strong — a mix of circuit headliners, TV names on tour, and excellent new acts. The Saturday night comedy shows are a Bath institution. The venue also hosts live music, cabaret evenings, and children's entertainment. The room is intimate enough that every seat is a good seat, and the atmosphere is always up for it. The bar is decent, the seating is cabaret-style (shared tables rather than rows), and the pricing is fair. It's right in the centre of Bath, a short walk from the station and the main shopping streets. If you're looking for evening entertainment that isn't theatre, Komedia is Bath's best bet. Book ahead for headline acts — the room is popular and not huge.
