About
UK Black Pride is Europe's largest Pride celebration for LGBTQ+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American, and Middle Eastern descent. Founded in 2005, it's grown into a powerful, joyful celebration of intersectional identity — a day of live music, DJs, spoken word, community stalls, and solidarity in a safe and welcoming space. The event typically takes place in a London park with stages, food stalls, and community areas. The atmosphere is warm, political, and celebratory — addressing the specific experiences and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people of colour while celebrating culture, community, and resilience. The musical programme is excellent, spanning Afrobeats, dancehall, R&B, and house. UK Black Pride is free to attend and genuinely inclusive — allies are welcome. The community stalls and organisations present are doing vital work in supporting LGBTQ+ people of colour. Food from across the diaspora is available. The event has grown significantly in recent years and has a vibrancy and warmth that makes it one of the highlights of London's Pride season.
