About
Yellowave is the UK's first permanent beach sports venue — a purpose-built facility on Brighton beach near the marina with sand courts for beach volleyball, beach rugby, beach soccer, and fitness classes. The venue has become a hub for the city's active community and a surprisingly social spot where sport meets the seaside. The beach volleyball courts are the centrepiece — you can join open sessions, take lessons, or book courts for groups. The venue also runs fitness bootcamps, yoga sessions, and beach running groups. In summer, the combination of sport and beach atmosphere is brilliant — play a game, then jump in the sea to cool off. Yellowave has a relaxed, welcoming vibe — you don't need to be a serious athlete to enjoy it. The café serves good food and has seating overlooking the courts and the sea. Regular social events, tournaments, and leagues mean there's always something happening. It's a uniquely Brighton kind of place — sporty, sociable, and right on the beach.
