92 Degrees Coffee
About
92 Degrees is Liverpool's best speciality coffee roaster — a bright, industrial-chic café and roastery on Hardman Street where you can watch beans being roasted while you drink them. The name refers to the optimal water temperature for espresso extraction, and the attention to detail extends throughout: single-origin beans sourced directly from farms, precision brewing methods, and baristas who genuinely care about what they're serving. The café is a popular workspace — good Wi-Fi, excellent coffee, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that encourages productive lingering. The food is simple but good: excellent sourdough toast, pastries, and light lunch options. The roastery at the back is visible through a glass partition — watching the beans tumble through the roaster adds to the experience. It's on the edge of the university quarter, which gives the neighbourhood a young, creative energy. The surrounding streets have good independent food and drink options. If you care about coffee, 92 Degrees is a pilgrimage. If you just want a good cup in a nice space, it delivers that too. They sell bags of their beans to take home — the single-origins are excellent.
